Asthma is a (long-term) lung disease, affecting your airways that carry air in and out of your lungs. It is common, disabling, distressing, misunderstood, life-threatening and TREATABLE!
COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) A group of lung diseases that block airflow and make it difficult to breathe, including Emphysema and Bronchitis.
Our strategy to help is through EDUCATION - teaching throughout the community, in the schools, individuals and their families, as well as keeping health care professionals (doctors, nurses, pharmacists and physiotherapists) up-to-date on the latest guidelines for Asthma and COPD.
