Hour of Air

April 25, 2014

WHY WHEEZE?   Asthma is TREATABLE!
That was the THEME to this year’s World Asthma Day.   A HUGELY successful day all around, with an estimated 130 people turning up for assistance with the asthma. Free pillows, free micro-fiber cloths and lots of brochures and leaflets were distributed, all to help with our mission of ‘HELPING BERMUDA BREATHE’.
In addition to our professionals assisting with asthma education, local schools and professional musicians were also there, creating such a vibrant atmosphere on such a gorgeous day.
HOUR OF AIR support was incredible!

Many local schools and businesses offered their support again this year in our annual awareness and fundraising campaign.  Open Airways is extremely grateful for the loyal support of so many in the community - all partnering with us in HELPING BERMUDA BREATHE!

HOUR OF AIR 2017

Schools and businesses donated their financial support on our designated ‘Hour of Air’ day. Open Airways is extremely grateful for the continued support of so many in Bermuda!
HAPPY 20th ANNIVERSARY OPEN AIRWAYS!
We continued our 20th Anniversary celebrations this year on World Asthma Day.   On the steps of City Hall, we had many stop by to chat with our trained volunteers about their asthma.  Lots of free pillows, free micro-fiber cloths and lots of brochures and leaflets were distributed.  The atmosphere was ALIVE with the incredible music from local schools and musicians.
A wonderful celebration of HELPING BERMUDA BREATHE!
Asthma Action Plans?
A little bit different this year as we had ‘3’ days of Asthma Education available in various spots on the island.
Many joined us in St. George’s as we were central on the Square.
In Somerset, we were at the Marketplace, where we were pleased to welcome West End Primary to join in with some singing and dancing in the parking lot….much enjoyed by all.

Our City Hall event was virbrant, and once again well attended, with trained volunteers on-hand to assist with questions and advice.
The music along with the bubbles everywhere created a wonderful atmosphere on a gorgeous day.  Lots of free pillows, free micro-fiber cloths and lots of brochures and leaflets were distributed.

Hour of Air Support
As always, we thank local businesses and schools for their incredible support of our fundraising efforts.

A wonderful week long celebration of HELPING BERMUDA BREATHE!
